Feel, Think, Act

Introduction

Start a new chapter in your journal called Balance vs Out-of-Balance. Visit this lesson for the next 6 days and write a new keyword, sentence and answers to the regrouping questions. At the end, write a paragraph or two of what you have learned about your Balance and Out of Balance.

Keyword

Cleanse and ask your Guidance for a keyword about what you can gain from this facet.

Keyword Sentence

Now put this keyword into a sentence or two. Write it in your journal.

Meditation

“In other words, discipline itself must be disciplined. The type of discipline to discipline discipline is what I call balancing.”

M. Scott Peck

Write any impressions.

Reading

What does it mean to be in balance? It means having a flow to life without doubt or fear. It is living from the inside out, going by your own feelings.

What does it mean to be out of balance? It means having an idea but hesitate because of doubt or fear. It is living from the outside in seeking approval or looking for verification.

The ideal situation is identifying your feeling, clarifying the facts of your feeling and then acting at the right time. In other words, a feeling for every thought and a thought for every feeling. What does this mean?

It means having a balance between your feelings, your thoughts and your actions.

Balance is when you have a feeling or a desire to do something, for example, you want to go swimming at a beach. You call your friends and ask them if they want to go. No one is interested because it is winter. So, you go by yourself and have a great time freezing.

Out of balance is when you have a desire to do something like go to the beach, even though it is wintertime. but your friends don’t want to go, so you change your mind. Your thoughts are “It’s too cold!”, “My friends are right, this is a silly idea.”

As a leader of yourself, you need to discern the facts of what you want, then move into action for accomplishment. For example, you want to see a movie. This is your feeling. Then you need to organize it. Which movie do you want to see? Which theatre do you want to go to? Which performance is the best timing for you? These are your thoughts. With your facts organized you have a plan. Now you just implement it at the right time. This is your action.

Feel Think Act

Regroup

Cleanse and work with your guidance:

  • Guidance, am I 100% cleansed?
  • Get a key word for your ‘feel, think, act’.
  • Make a list of the things that you want.
  • Check with your guidance which ones are essential.
  • Remake your list of the essential wants.
  • Now write a paragraph how ‘feel, think, act’ can help you achieve your goals. (This would be a direct message from your guidance via automatic writing).
  • Revisit your list periodically to update it.
